Diaper Bag Essentials

I looked at so many posts like this when I was pregnant! With my first baby I used a large tote bag diaper bag. It is from Hip Cub and I love it and still use it almost daily. I would shuffle my things around all of the time sometimes throwing my phone and wallet in the diaper bag and other times switching to a cross body or something smaller. It worked out fine most of the time, but when I was planning for my second pregnancy, I really wanted to treat myself with a nice diaper bag, and get one that could double as a regular purse when I’m not with my kids.

I’m so glad I went with the Freshly Picked Mini! It is so cute it looks just like a regular purse, but it has so many pockets and compartments making it perfect for a small, everyday diaper bag. I almost always have the tote bag filled up with sweaters, jackets, spare clothes (potty training), diapers, snacks and what not. Depending on what we have going on, or how many hours we are planning to be out and about. But for every day, I love the Freshly Picked Mini because it fits all of the basic necessities for my two babes. If you do want a bigger diaper bag, the regular sized Freshly Picked Diaper Bag is amazing as well!!
Water Wipes are so awesome! Aside from the wipes being great, I love the size of the package and how it fits in the diaper bag easily. They also come out without clumping like wipes tend to do. Water Wipes are one of the items I subscribe to through amazon, which makes it easy to stay stocked up! Diapers are thrown in before leaving the house always! Same with a pacifier and a bottle. As long as we have those items we are usually ok! I love using Hydroflask’s to keep milk cold, or to keep warm water for formula/warming milk up. I will use a big one and bring a lot for both kids if I will be out for a bit, but if I’m just packing a bottle for the baby, I love this MIRA thermos I found. I had seen it come up on amazon a few times, and finally decided to try it out. I love the size of it, it fits 7 oz, it fits nicely inside the mini diaper back and it works
Keeping some dry snacks in there is always convenient. I will typically pack a lunch or snacks for whatever we are doing, but life happens, and countless times I have been grateful for a spare tot snack. The perfect 10 bars are refrigerated so I will toss one in before I run out the door!
The zipper compartment in the back of the diaper fits my mini Kate spade wallet, a pair of shades, a makeup wipe, tissues, a pen, and Chapstick perfectly! I can’t go anywhere without a pacifier, and I try and have some type of teether or baby toy with me. I don’t know how I didn’t know about these Camilia teething drops with Carli!!! They are amazing, and a huge lifesaver when your little is having a meltdown over some awful teething pain. Keeping a pouch of these is clutch. My babies get bad diaper rashes and so I usually end up having some crème with me too. My four-year-old falls down ALL the time. Normally she doesn’t get phased, but then the other times she wants to be tended to with love and of course BAND AIDS. I feel like such a winner when I have a Band-Aid and some Neosporin in my wallet or diaper bag!
