  • Undiagnosed Post Partum Depression

I thought I knew what it was, I thought I could be supportive to a mama going through it, and I thought I would for sure know if I had it. I was saying I had it before I really knew. The past few years have been hard for everyone in some way or another. In addition to everything that life was throwing at all of us during the pandemic, I was experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. Tomi was born 4 weeks early, and after a somewhat traumatizing delivery, it felt like we could finally take a deep breath. Of course, that is never the case. I was also diagnosed with…

  • Diaper Bag Essentials

I looked at so many posts like this when I was pregnant! With my first baby I used a large tote bag diaper bag. It is from Hip Cub and I love it and still use it almost daily. I would shuffle my things around all of the time sometimes throwing my phone and wallet in the diaper bag and other times switching to a cross body or something smaller. It worked out fine most of the time, but when I was planning for my second pregnancy, I really wanted to treat myself with a nice diaper bag, and get one that could double as a regular purse when I’m…

  • Thanksgiving Table Decor

This year is the first year I really feel like we are “hosting”. I have had a lot of practice over the past ten years cooking Thanksgiving Dinner for just my husband and I, and also my sister and/or my in-laws some years. But this year we will have my mom, all of my sisters and their families/significants others. It will be 8 or 9 adults, and 4 kiddos. We recently finished our home addition which included a reno of the back deck. For us – in our small, southern California home, with no dining room- we eat our meals on our back patio. I love this gauze fabric that…

  • 3 Ways to Meet Mom Friends

#1 – the peanut app When I moved to San Diego from New Hampshire, I knew no one! My husband had a job and he started working right away and met some friends through work and I eventually did the same when I got a job. I still only had friends from work and when you work an hour from home, that means your new friends live far away too! Then we got married and had a baby and needed to find some parent friends!! I felt so guilty- that because I didn’t have any friends here, my baby wasn’t getting playdates, and social interaction. I knew for her sake…

  • Stay at beach mom

Hi, I’m Christina. Welcome to Beach Mama Blog! I am a wife and a mama and we live at the beach! I have been wanting to start a blog ever since I was pregnant with Carli, but  it was always so hard and overwhelming – I never even came close! I have slowly started to teach myself, and have made it this far… so I am thrilled to be to this point and see where it goes! It is such a good feeling to see the progress and to learn how to do something that you have always wanted to do.  A Creative Outlet for this Mama I am living…
