  • Postpartum Depression – How to Find a Therapist

I was oblivious that I had postpartum depression. I was saying I had all of the symptoms, I knew I was close, but I was maybe afraid to say it or just in denial. Finding the strength to admit to yourself you are struggling and then opening up to everyone is hard enough โ€“ but what now? You are in the trenchโ€™s mama. Whether you are bracing the storm without any chemical imbalance occurring, having some degree of baby blues, or starting to experience the effects of postpartum depression โ€“ this is a tough phase of motherhood. It is overly emotional because of how precious it is that you want…

  • Chasing Playgrounds

The Strand This March, in light of the St. Patricks day theme, I though it was a fun time to explore San Diego playgrounds. I have been wanting to share our favorites, and also find some new ones for the girls. So come along as we explore San Diego and find the best playgrounds and parks! We have been with Fit4Mom since Carli was a baby, so we frequent the strand and the pier during the week as well as with Dad and grandparents on the weekends! This is also one of our favorite spots to bring out of town family and friends! The girls love the swings by the…

  • Rainbow Toddler Activities

I am a Child Development student currently, working towards a Preschool Teacher Certification. I do have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and had plans to get my Masters in School Counseling, but my desire to stay home with my kids while they are little changed my course for now, and I have enjoyed taking online courses while I am a stay at home mom of two littles. This was based on a final project I had for a course. We had to chose a theme and base a curriculum off of it. We created a web relating the central theme to various learning areas. I chose rainbows. So with these…

  • THE BEST Mommy & Me Swimsuits – MooRoom Swim

MooRoo Mommy & Me Swimwear These swimsuits are so amazing, where do I even start! When I first started following MooRoo swim on instagram, I was in love with the fact that this was a Mommy owned company, a female owned company and also a local so cal mama. Designed by a mama with the postpartum body in mind. Removable chest pads, tummy control, and buttery soft fabric. It feels like this swim suit was tailor made for me. Which is something that I never say about a one piece – I have a long torso, and an A cup, so typically one pieces are a no go for me.…

  • Undiagnosed Post Partum Depression

I thought I knew what it was, I thought I could be supportive to a mama going through it, and I thought I would for sure know if I had it. I was saying I had it before I really knew. The past few years have been hard for everyone in some way or another. In addition to everything that life was throwing at all of us during the pandemic, I was experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. Tomi was born 4 weeks early, and after a somewhat traumatizing delivery, it felt like we could finally take a deep breath. Of course, that is never the case. I was also diagnosed with…

  • Diaper Bag Essentials

I looked at so many posts like this when I was pregnant! With my first baby I used a large tote bag diaper bag. It is from Hip Cub and I love it and still use it almost daily. I would shuffle my things around all of the time sometimes throwing my phone and wallet in the diaper bag and other times switching to a cross body or something smaller. It worked out fine most of the time, but when I was planning for my second pregnancy, I really wanted to treat myself with a nice diaper bag, and get one that could double as a regular purse when Iโ€™m…
